Star1 Airlines
Boeing 737-73S
LY-STG (cn 29083/392)
11th July 2010
London Stansted Airport (STN)
Hapagfly (opf Germanwings)
Boeing 737-8K5(W)
D-ATUF (cn 34687/1907)
30th June 2010
London Stansted Airport (STN)
Comment / D-ATUF was painted up into a Hapag-Lloyd retro scheme and fitted with 54 First Class seats in November 2008, for a series of round-the-world cruise flights. A couple of years on it's back in mainline service, visiting Stansted from time-to-time operating on behalf of Germwanwings.
Ryanair
Boeing 737-8AS(W)
EI-EML (cn 38513/3283)
26th June 2010
London Stansted Airport (STN)
Comment / One of the latest deliveries from Seattle to Ryanair - EI-EML was delivered on 25th May 2010.
Saga Airlines
Boeing 737-86J(W)
TC-SGH (cn 28068/036)
4th June 2009
Newcastle Woolsington Airport (NCL)
Comment / TC-SGH arrives at Newcastle on the same day that its major client, tour operator Scottravel, ceased trading. It is not yet clear whether Saga's charter services to Newcastle will continue as planned for the rest of the summer. This particular flight was combined with a service from Glasgow, for example. TC-SGH is an early Next Generation 737, previously with Air Berlin as D-ABAN.
TUIfly
Boeing 737-7K5(W)
D-AHXC (cn 34693/2260)
4th June 2009
Newcastle Woolsington Airport (NCL)
Comment / TUIfly's Boeing 737s visit Newcastle three times a week from Hanover, although photos of their evening arrivals are only possible during the summer months. Rumour has it that this service will cease in October, though with Air Berlin due to take over most of TUIfly's city services during the coming winter, one hopes the route's fate might not be sealed just yet.
Jet2
Boeing 737-377(QC)
G-CELZ (cn 23658/1281)
4th June 2009
Newcastle Woolsington Airport (NCL)
Comment / It's not often you see two aircraft on the runway at the same time, though every evening Jet2's pair of Newcastle-based Boeing 737-300QCs are towed from the passenger terminal across the runway to the new south-side stands, where they are loaded with mail for flights to London Stansted and East Midlands. G-CELZ is seen here following G-CELA with some local livestock in the foreground.

TC-SGD (cn 25773/2905)
23rd May 2009
Newcastle Woolsington Airport (NCL)
Comment / Saga Airlines are regular visitors to Newcastle this summer, operating to Turkey on behalf of Scottravel with their Boeing 737-400s and -800s. TC-SGD is seen arriving here, wearing a basic Air Algerie scheme following a recent spell on lease to the African carrier.

G-FDZR (cn 35145/2849)
23rd May 2009
Newcastle Woolsington Airport (NCL)
Comment / Delivered on 27th March earlier this year, G-FDZR was the first aircraft to be painted up in the livery of the newly-formed Thomson Airways. The new carrier, the product of the amalgamation of Thomsonfly and First Choice Airways on 1st November 2008, can trace its history back to 1961 and the formation of Euravia, the first trading name of Britannia Airways.
