Comment / This P-180 is operated by a small outfit named Solid AiR based at Eindhoven in the Netherlands. I'd not had the pleasure of hearing one of these before - I can only describe the sound that these push-props make as a cross between a lawn mower and a car with a hole in its exhaust...

Manchester Ringway Airport (MAN)
Comment / This Denim Air Fokker 50 was, until recently, flying to and from nations such as Afghanistan and the Democratic Republic of Congo on behalf of the United Nations World Food Program. She's now settled into a slightly less adventurous lifestyle, commuting around Europe on the VLM Airlines network.

Comment / Now painted up in the new XL Airways livery, it was this Boeing 737-800, G-XLAA, that kicked off the Excel Airways story six years ago, back on May 1st 2001. Excel itself grew out of what was Sabre Airways, with whom 'AA first flew as G-OKDN upon delivery 1998.
Comment / Sitting proudly at her new home in the Aviation Viewing Park at Manchester airport, the ex. BEA and British Airways Trident 3B G-AWZK has been restored to her former glory magnificently by the Trident Preservation Society. The flight deck looks particularly spectacular, especially at night!
Comment / A view from the left hand seat with the moving map display in the middle, and the auto land panel at the top. The green Landing Integrity indicator shows that auto land is selected!
Comment / A view of G-AWZK (with two original pairs of BEA steps) in her new surroundings at the Aviation Viewing Park, just behind the maintenance area at Manchester.
Comment / Looking towards the rear of the cabin from around the mid-point of the fuselage, with the two overwing exits visible on each side, and some great displays of Trident memorabilia at the aft.

Comment / Not exactly the most extravagant flare today from G-BWDB...
