Comment / Passing overhead as the landing gear is almost tucked away. A right turn will soon follow, routing over Scotland as she commences the long-haul to Florida.

Comment / This London Executive Aviation Embraer Legacy was first delivered as G-RUBN and shown at the Farnborough International Air Show in 2006.

Comment / Although departing here for Malaga with holidaymakers on board, only a few hours previous, G-CELZ was in the air hauling up to 17 tonnes of post for Royal Mail between Newcastle and Stansted.

Comment / Roaring down runway 25 as the first Shuttle of the day from Newcastle to Heathrow.

Comment / Photographed lining up on runway 25 as the Thomson 9LC to Palma.

Comment / Appearing out of the fog with an auto land on Newcastle's runway 07 only moments away.

Comment / The Newcastle-based Thomson Airways Boeing 737-800, G-FDZP, roars away into the low early-morning sunshine, destination Palma de Majorca.

Comment / G-FDZP transferred to Thomsonfly from partner airline TUIfly during July 2008, with whom it was previously registered D-ATUB.

Comment / Departing Newcastle's runway 07 for the morning flight down to London Stansted. From Stansted she will fly on to Malaga, from which she will then return to Newcastle mid-afternoon.

Comment / Note the white trail streaming from the auxiliary power unit, perhaps indicating that the APU has been left on for the flight ahead. Although an APU is typically shut down prior to take-off, it can be used in-flight as a back-up source of electrical power should an engine driven generator be unserviceable.

Comment / The first time I've seen a Brit Air/Air France CRJ-100 at Newcastle. Normally they send in the larger CRJ-700s on services from Paris Charles de Gaulle.

Comment / Air Contractors appear to have taken over the FedEx Feeder service between Glasgow, Newcastle and Paris. EI-FXA is seen here leaving Newcastle for Glasgow after a trip across the Channel.

Comment / Climbing away for Amsterdam Schiphol following a frosty overnight stay in the North East.
